Our Story:
Tradition Reimagined
RiverDome is more than a facility – it’s the brand new home of one of Adelaide’s oldest and most cherished lawn bowls clubs. When the T2D tunnel project necessitated a change of venue, innovative state government intervention ensured that Torrensville Bowling Club could continue to flourish independently in a brand-new, standalone space.
The Relocation Journey
A Community Drive Move
Members were keen to remain close to home, and after much consultation and a timely intervention by Minister Koutsantonis, a new site was secured.
A Purpose Built Space
Spread across 7,000 square metres, the new site includes not only a modern clubroom and synthetic greens but also the much-loved dome – carefully disassembled and reassembled to maintain a link to the club’s past.
